Authentic Assessment Consist of the Following:
- EXHIBITIONS-Students present an exhibition at the completion of each quarter. This is a public presentation of their work and learning. The exhibition is about 45minutes-1 hour in length and is presented to a panel consisting of advisors, parents, peers, outside adults and mentors.
- PERSONAL NARRATIVE –Students in depth written reflection on the quarter
- PORTFOLIOS/RUBRICS- Based on quarterly expectations
- NARRATIVES- Assessments written by the advisor that discuss a student’s work and learning for the quarter.
- For example:
- Reporting on strengths and progress
- Learning goals that were addressed
- Suggestions for improvement
- Participation in advisory and the community –
- Feedback around the internship –
- Attendance, punctuality and work habits
Letter grades may be assigned if they are necessary for college admission.
